About Us
Claire and Mark Stringer
We live on the Isle of Man, with two cats and two cameras!
Claire
My love of Photography developed really through my love of travelling. I would take around ten rolls of film on every holiday, to capture the real essence of the places I visited.
Although I loved spending time, looking through many albums of photos that I had built up over the years. It wasn't until my brothers wedding where I again took lots of photos to capture the day, and made an album up for myself and another one for my mum. She told me that someone she had shown the album to thought that they were the professional photos of the day, which got me thinking that maybe I had an art for taking a good picture. So after that I bought my first digital camera, oh how many more photos I could take. It was heaven.
Soon after I met my husband Mark who was a member of the Isle of Man Photographic Society. After a few months he persuaded me to also join the club. It is great that we both have an interest that we both truely love. We are always looking for different places that we can go to find new and different photo opportunites. And of course there is plenty of healthy competition between us as well. I have now upgraded my point and shoot digital camera to a Canon 400D.

I've always had an interest in Photography, but it is wasn't until I moved to the Isle of Man and joined the Photographic Society that I really started to persue it.
As I developed I bought my first SLR camera which was a Canon D30. Meeting Claire has really helped escalate the number of places I visit and the amount of Photos I am now taking on a regular basis, due to the fact that we both enjoy Photography so much and her love of travelling helps too I suppose. Well so she insists!
I now use a Canon 20D but have my sights on a shiny new Canon 50D, (If she'll let me!)
